Nail Care Between Manicures: A Week-by-Week Routine

A simple routine for the 2–3 weeks your gel lasts: day one, week 1 moisture, week 2 edge checks, week 3 rebook or fill.

VESSCA · · 1 min read

Gel lasts 2–3 weeks, but your nails and cuticles still need care in between. A simple week-by-week routine takes a few minutes a day.

Day one

No long soaking for 24 hours, no prying with new nails, cuticle oil in the evening.

Week 1: moisture

Cuticle oil every night, about 30 seconds per hand; dry hands and apply hand cream after washing; gloves for housework.

Week 2: check edges

Look at the gel edges. Do not peel lifting gel; small lifts — keep dry and moisturised; larger lifts — book earlier. Trim hangnails cleanly with clean clippers.

Week 3: prepare

About 2–3 mm of regrowth means it is time to book. Builder gel or extensions can be filled (190,000₫) to rebalance the nail. Do not remove gel at home; removal at VESSCA is 30,000₫, about 20 minutes.
