Cat-eye nails have a band of light across the nail that moves as you turn your hand, like light in a cat's eye. It is one of the most requested finishes in Korean nail salons. Here is how it works, how to choose a style, and what it costs at VESSCA.

How cat-eye works

Cat-eye gel contains tiny magnetic metal particles. While the gel is still wet, the technician holds a magnet near the nail; the particles move into a band, and the nail is cured straight away to lock them in place. Results depend on fine, even particles and quick, accurate magnet work.

  • KISS NY / CATS ME cat-eye (premium Korean gel): 280,000₫ for the colour
  • Hand cuticle care: 60,000₫

The premium gel has finer particles for a sharper, deeper band. Gels are chosen by the salon and brought from Korea, and you are welcome to see a sample before choosing. Cat-eye lasts as long as regular gel, about 2–3 weeks, and services carry a 5-day warranty.
